As you may know I want to send in two of the mugs I had made to Channel 10. I looked into what was involved in submitting to WJAR 10's Coffee Cup Salute. I looked into what was involved in submitting to WJAR 10's Coffee Cup Salute. When I realized it had to be sent in ten weeks in advance I figured it best to just get it in and hope you all like it. The following is the paragraph I submitted tonight.
The woodworkers Guild of Rhode Island meets 7:00 to 9:00 PM. on the first Wednesday of every month except July, at the, North Scituate Community House on West Greenville Road. President John Petela, says, the Christmas Party alone is worth the yearly dues. Each month features demonstration and or examples of woodworking from local and not so local artists. This year, The Scituate Art Fest is October 8th, 9th, and 10th The Guild will have demonstrations and opportunities for visitors to talk with fellow woodworking enthusiasts. I want to let you know I am not renewing my membership in the Guild. My interest hasn't developed as I thought it might. I find myself not really interested in attending meetings. I notified John P. Even though he is no longer President, after you, I feel I know him best. I neglected to mention to him that I am slated to handle the refreshments in March. Will you kindly let whoever needs to know that the slot needs to be filled? I assume whoever is down for April can move up. Thanks Dave and let's stay in touch. You are still welcome to visit anytime so don't hesitate. If you ever feel like just getting together to talk woodworking give me a call or send an e-mail. Lenny less

About Me
I enjoy learning as much as sharing what I know. I am working on my wood shop and buying tools as time and money permit so to bring to life a dream of building with wood. I have yet to find my niche but, have dabbled with wood and metal since I was a boy of say ten. Though I never really got to focus on woodworking, other than home construction and maintenance, I think I might like to build say, cabinetry, furniture, or even art in wood. Though the light in the tunnel of retirement is still a ways off, I'm hopping to fill my days after retiring with sawdust and pride of accomplishment, and maybe a hike in the woods now and then.
Lenny Butler
Hi John. Thanks for the suggestion. I think I will contact them as my "second opinion". I will probably have to send a sample piece or at least a photo of the wood. Thanks again.
